WildArt Conservation - An Update on Funds Raised

At the very heart of the WildArt POTY competition is the support for the conservation causes that each of our WildArt competition judges has chosen to support. With the competition well over halfway through, I thought it would be great to share the totals raised so far and to remind you of the causes that are now benefitting from this money, all of which has been paid to them.

The grand total is an amazing £1,720, and the breakdown of who has been paid what is given below. With four categories still to go, there’s more we will add to this total and I’ll provide an update at the end of the competition with a final figure on what has been raised through the entry of all the categories. This money has come from you, our competition entrants, through your support for the competition and I can’t thank you enough for the enthusiasm you have shown throughout the year.

But there is even more we can do through the presales of the competition book which is now available to preorder. For every order we receive prior to publication in January 2022, WildArt will donate a further £5 to the conservation causes. That means we could raise another £5,000 if all 1,000 copies go before January.

Here is the breakdown of money raised so far:

WET - £440 for Nova Scotia Nature Trust

SPACE - £213 For the Badger Trust

EYES - £440 for American Bird Conservancy to support their Golden-winged Warbler programme

CONNECTION - £205 for the Save the Choco

LIGHT - £265 for Bush Heritage Australia

ABSTRACTS - £157 for Froglife

All of the money detailed above is with these organisations and has been put to work for the good of conservation.

Thank you all so much and very best wishes,

Rob.
