Preparing Your Images

When preparing your images for initial submission, please follow the following guidelines.

File Size: Minimum 800 pixels on the shortest edge at 72 dpi and saved as a medium quality jpeg. If you are unsure how to resize images, then check out our video on YouTube here.

Please ensure that your original file is capable of producing a file with a minimum of 2,500 pixels on the shortest edge without interpolation.

Colour Space: Please save your images in sRGB colour space.

Sharpening and denoising: Please do not use excessive sharpening and denoising techniques.

Watermarks and borders: Please do not watermark your images or include borders or frames. Any images that breach these requirements will be eliminated from the judging process.

File names:  You may name your files as you wish as our entry system will keep track of your entries.

Captioning: You will be required to supply a brief image caption prior to entering images in the competition. Our entry system will guide you as to what is required, but this can be as short or as detailed as you wish. A description can sometimes assist the judging process and any circumstances surrounding the image required to be disclosed as directed in the competition rules should be included.

If you have any questions regarding the preparation of your images, and/or our entry system, then please email us at info@wildartpoty.com or use the contact form on the Contact Us page.

Exif Data: Please do not remove the EXIF data embedded in the file. This information includes details of the camera, lens and settings used to capture the image.
