Meet the Judges - Andy Rouse

Join WildArt Photographer of the Year founder and competition organiser Rob Read in conversation with wildlife photography supremo and WildArt POTY judge Andy Rouse.

Andy is in charge of the WildArt category for February, the theme for which is SPACE. Andy talks about the category concept, the conservation cause he is supporting and shares some of his own amazing imagery to inspire you and provide a steer on what he’s looking for in the category.

Andy chats with Rob about a number of subjects related to photography and his outlook, plus the two discuss the importance of nature and photography to mental wellbeing.

Here is what Andy says about SPACE: ‘Don’t be safe, pick something that stands out, that is different, that doesn’t need words to explain it as photography is a visual medium. We want the image to jump from the screen and slap us around the face like a wet kipper!!!’
