WildArt Photographer of the Year Winners - LIGHT

LIGHT was our competition category theme for February and is the design of Georgina Steytler. We received well over 1,100 entries into this contest, and the standard was breathtaking making the job of Georgina and her judging team really tough. Many congratulations go to Boldizsár Szűcs from Hungary who has won the category Gold Award with a fabulous image of a backlit European Bee-eater. Boldizsár wins £500. IRMA SZABÓ - WET SILVER AWARD WINNER

Congratulations also go to Irma Szabó, also from Hungary who wins our Silver Award and a voucher worth $300 from F-Stop with this beautiful image of Great Cormorants with fabulous bokeh entitled Polkadot; and also to Robin Morrison from the United Kingdom who is awarded our Bronze prize and a Cotton Carrier. A CCS G3 Binocular and Camera Harness for his image of a Four-spotted Chaser dragonfly roost. Our Gold, Silver, and Bronze Award winners all go forward to our grand final at the end of the year and are in with a chance of becoming our overall WildArt Photographer of the Year for 2022.

ROBIN MORRISON - LIGHT BRONZE AWARD WINNER

AARON TODD - LIGHT FOUNDER’S CHOICE

The Founder’s Choice for LIGHT is awarded to Aaron Todd from Canada for his beautiful image of a Mallard in reflected lights. This image is also Highly Commended by the judges. By winning this award, Aaron’s image also goes forward to our grand final at the end of the year, along with our Gold, Silver, and Bronze Award winners.

YOUNG LIGHT CATEGORY WINNER

Congratulations go to Thamboon Uyyanonvara from Thailand who wins our Young Award for LIGHT with this fabulous image of a Grey Heron. Thamboon wins £50 and his image goes forward to our grand final at the end of the year when he could be crowned WildArt Young Photographer of the Year 2022.
