WildArt Photographer of the Year Winners -

COLOUR

COLOUR was our final category theme for 2022 and closed at the end of October. The category aims to celebrate the colour found in nature. Husband and wife team Jari and Kaisa Peltomaki were the judges in charge of this category which attracted hundreds of amazing entries from photographers all around the globe - a fitting close to the competition this year. Many congratulations go to Rob Blanken who has won the category Gold Award with this image of a dead insect in surface water biofilm. Rob wins £500. IRMA SZABÓ - COLOUR SILVER AWARD WINNER

Congratulations also go to Irma Szabó who wins our Silver Award and a voucher worth $300 from F-Stop with her image of Pasque Flowers entitled ‘Spring Sunset’; and also to Leigh Ayres who is awarded our Bronze prize and a Cotton Carrier CCS G3 Binocular and Camera Harness for his dragonfly image entitled ‘Rainbow Roost’. Our Gold, Silver, and Bronze Award winners all go forward to our grand final at the end of the year and are in with a chance of becoming our overall WildArt Photographer of the Year for 2022.

FOUNDER’S CHOICE

The Founder’s Choice for COLOUR is awarded to Filippo Carugati for his image of a Black-speckled Palm Pit Viper entitled ‘Black and Green’. This image is also Highly Commended by the judges. By winning this award, Filippo’s image also goes forward to our grand final at the end of the year, along with our Gold, Silver, and Bronze Award winners.

JOMTUP CHAROENLAPNUMCHAI - COLOUR YOUNG CATEGORY WINNER

Congratulations go to Jomtup Charoenlapnumchai from Thailand who wins our Young Award for COLOUR with this image of Little Grebe chicks. Jomtup wins £50 and his image goes forward to our grand final at the end of the year when he could be crowned WildArt Young Photographer of the Year 2022.
